At least here in America, it's legal. I watched a documentary that showed women giving birth at home illegally! They risk going to jail just giving birth at home. Can you even imagine??? So glad we live in a country where we can choose and have rights to our birthing experiences

We had to pay out of pocket for my dd's birth at a birthing center too, two years ago today actually!
It was totally worth it!
My L&D was very intense but the atmosphere was very lax.
It was just me, my dh, and the mw, she was born on a Sunday after hours.
