Re: Whst does this SA mean????

Okay low count.. but it sucks they just didn't give you an actual count number. And low mobility.. There is sperm and there are sperm moving.. so I think that's all good for you... it's better then zero and most def you can get preggo with that. The rest I am not really sure about. I think it's just good knowing there are some there.. and make sure you ask the DR.. if vitamins would help count and mobility. I would think looking at this a reproductive specialist would advise you to go the iui route as his little guys wouldn't have to travel as far to get to the egg.

well actually anything over 20 mil is "workable" so being 5 mil off from 35 we are happy with. The two things I am worried about is the low motility and the viscosity. The viscosity is pretty easy to change. I wonder if the low motility had anything to do with the abnormal viscosity?

everything else looks really good!

Hubby was encouraged and open to doing some supplements finally!

It's great to hear that your DH feels ready to make some progress! I don't know much about semen analysis & hope you get to talk to your doc soon - who is this guy, Father Time?

Morphology means normal shape. This means one head, one tail. That means regardless of number of sperm they capable of making a baby.

Motility not so great but that could be related to viscosity. Also if they examined an hour post collection that doesn't really help his numbers. quantity and morphology does not change with time, but motility does.

Perhaps suggest the husband up his water intake to help with volume and viscosity.

Volume was great. Numbers actually can increase so we are hoping for that. Def thinking at this point the viscosity and motility are related. The morphology was actually on the good side. So upping water and vitamins and planning in taking a new SA (if bit pg) in a few months
