I mostly wore the hospital gowns. I had one nursing gown of my own, so I brought it, and I wore it (and the thin, matching robe) when we went to see DD in the NICU once.

Hospital gowns for me too. I was disappointed to put on real clothes to leave!

With first, hospital gown for labor and c/s, fleece pants and nursing tank after.

With second, my own gown for labor and c/s, then fleece pants and tank again. The pants were my husband's, and comfy if pulled up over scar and ab binder.

This time I might take nursing pjs.

I bought a birthing gown with a hole in the front you can tie closed. I haven't used it yet, but I didn't want the hospital to tell me I couldn't wear a bra. The gown is sort of supportive, I didn't think a hospital gown would be at all and I dislike my breast touching my body, you know, hanging. Anyway, I bought the gown because hospital anything makes me nervous and I didn't want the hospital staff to yap at me for wearing something that was hard to access. Probably I wasted $20, and I will have a photographer friend there, I look better in black than in hospital off white.

Yoga pants and t-shirts (and a nursing bra.) I can't stand hospital gowns....I need a shower and real clothes asap. Granted, I've never had a c-section, which would have obviously changed things.

Update...I just bought a simple tshirt-material robe with a tie belt. It was all I needed and was INVALUABLE for breastfeeding while company was over.

I would bring a robe to keep warm.. Hospitals are so cold lol. Breastfeeding makes me even colder lol.
