Knitting vs Crochet

Which is easier? I want to do one or the other, but not quite sure which. Not anything serious, just making hats and such for my boys.

Hats crochet, clothes knitting. I know both. I have crochet since I was a kid. I taught myself to knit using knittinghelp.com back in oh 2007 I think. YouTube is a great source to.
I crochet my washcloths, hats, toys, stuff like that. I do both with blankets.

Currently using my "Smart" phone.

I tried to teach myself both. I figured out knitting pretty easily but had trouble with crocheting. I keep meaning to try again but haven't yet.

I keep seeing a bunch of yarn and needles at one of our local thrift stores, so I guess I may give both a shot

Crochet I can do, knitting I have not been able to figure out to save my life. I actually am thinking about trying to pull out a set of needles again and give it another shot. But from my experience, crochet is easier.

Re: Knitting vs Crochet

Crochet was easier for me to pick up initially, but once I had the hang of it, knitting was pretty easy as well. I crocheted for about a year, then learned to knit...now I'm not too fast at either, but would call myself an advanced beginner for both...I learned to crochet at the beginning of 2011 & knit a year later. The interwebz is a valuable tool

I love both. each has its own merits. I have been knitting for 30 years but crochet for only 4. I prefer knitting but like how fast your work grows with crochet.

I like to see see results fast too. So I think I'm going to give both a shot and hope I don't end up with a bunch of knotted yarn and high blood pressure ha!
