Don't do it!!! I tried it and it doesn't work the top part becomes too floppy and twists around, rendering the whole thing useless.

Plus it could tear in the center while in use and potentially cause harm.

I didn't cut it off, but I use the 3rd leg VERY loosely, like almost zero tension on it. My kids don't mind it, I could never get a good fit with Boingos, but that was the older version. Now, I use the Snappi so infrequently I haven't bothered updating the Boingos, I FFSed them awhile back.

I had both and loved the boingos for a little while, but I just didn't like the fit. I feel like the snappi makes the diaper fit better. I have an 18 month old girl and it never has bothered her.

In the boingos defense, I kept trying to stretch it like the snappi. Later I read how you're not supposed to.

OP I would definitely try both! I feel like here on DS people are pretty evenly split on either loving snappis, boingos, or pins.

Re: Snappi or boingo for baby boy?

I love snappi and hate boingo because I could never get a good tight fit with them.

I've only ever used snappies for my 4 1/2 month old ds and so far I have not had any problems with it.

Our lo isn't here yet but I got both because we are doing all flats and it really seems to be personal preferences vs one is really better than the other. I ordered mine from sewcraftybaby.com. They offer free shipping so it jeeps the price down

I snappi in the back. Doesn't bother his boy bits and he can't fiddle with it.
