Mucous plug
So, I lost mine today at 35 weeks 0days. Didnt lose it until 40 weeks with DS (had him at 41 weeks). I'm concerned I've lost it this early... Is this normal??? Should I be concerned?

You can lose pieces for weeks before hand. Its totally normal. Also your plug doesnt determine labor and can "regrow". I wouldn't be too concerned.

Re: Mucous plug
Yep, I was going to say that... you can lose part of it and it does regrow unless active labor begins right away.

Re: Mucous plug
Thats what I thought too. My only concern is that I have been having contractions for MONTHS and they have progressively gotten more regular and more painful this past week or so. Ive contacted my midwives and they basically said not to worry about the plug unless I have regular/painful contractions (i.e., labor) lol! With my history of contracting though, we are thinking I should have this babe in no more than a few weeks. Hoping I make that full term mark :-)!

Re: Mucous plug
All you gals covered it
It would not be surprising to me if you went into labor at 36 or 37 weeks since you have been experiencing contractions already and lost your plug but I wouldn't worry too much, that is full term for most midwives. Mine will let me home birth at 37 weeks. Just try to take it easy and maybe use it as an excuse to get people to do things for you
