Two questions?

I messaged her. Thanks!

Also, my son is about one growth spurt away from outgrowing his convertible seat. I want to start looking around for a good 5 point booster. Any suggestions when we're on a budget?

Re: Two questions?

But her seat is not a booster. It's a convertible seat that her child barely fits in anymore. I have the same seat and it's not meant to be used with a seatbelt over the top of it.

I would probably say something depending on the relationship...just that you noticed DD riding in the carseat with a seatbelt and it could really hurt her that way in a crash. If you have a link to a cheap booster that might help too.

1. I would say something because that is very dangerous and depending on your state law, illegal.

2. Harmony Defender or Evenflo SecureKid 300 or 400.

There are no seats available in North America that allow you to use a harness with a seat belt on top other than special needs seats that cost hundreds of dollars. You should NEVER use a harnessed seat with a seat belt buckled over the seat. If the seat can be used as a belt positioning booster, the harness has to be removed or stowed per manufacturers instructions.
