Re: How to baby gate a window??

I have a friend who's son fell on the garage roof from an open window. He is/was "that" kid.

She put a tension gate in the window. But, the window was wide enough to handle a tension gate. (the $10 ones at Walmart)

I'd suggest a metal window guard, but I don't know how easy it is to get that down in case of fire. I'm sure they must make an easily removable guard for the windows.

I would probably keep the window shut.

Depending on how tall your windows are, you could get a couple of tension bars (shower curtain rods) and stick them in from top to bottom like prison bars. Two or three should be enough to cover only the side that opens.

You need Guardian Angel window guards. Sorry, I'm unable to link on this device but just google Angel Guard. Secure and designed to be quickly removable in case of fire, and fit all different window sizes.

Re: How to baby gate a window??

My parents opened our windows about 3 inches, then put a nail in the frame so we couldn't open it any wider.
