Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
When should you switch from sage 1 formula to stage 2? Lulu is 7 months and has currently been eating Isomil soy stage 1 formula. Should I switch her to stage 2?

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
We gave never done stage 2 or toddler formula (and have 3 healthy boys). Our youngest is 16 months old and still on infant Neocate. The toddler formula has more calories per ounce. I'm not sure if the vitamin/nutrient content is the same or not. Me, personally, I would just stick with the infant formula. Good luck to you!

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
I just used infant formula... and once my daughter turned 11mo, we went full force with whole milk.

Do you mean newborn formula vs. infant or infant formula vs. toddler?

Stage 2 wasn't necessary. We moved straight to whole milk at 12 mos.

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
We use Isomil soy formula, and it comes in 0-12 months "stage one" and 6+ months "stage two." Lulu is 7 months old.

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
It wouldn't hurt to switch her if you would feel better about it. I would just do a slow switch, rather than a sudden switch all at once.

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
We went to stage 2 at a year. It had more iron, and DD2 was anemic, even on formula.

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
We switched over at just over a year. Most kids just go to milk and skip toddler formula but my son had an ear issue and wasn't eating well so we kept him on toddler formula for 6 more months.

Re: Stage 1 VS stage 2 formula
My doc said only use toddler formula if anemic and over 1 year od age, which we are not. My daughter is on soy due to milk allergy
