I'm going to guess the Uraguay 3 ply merino is Purewool. I love that for younger babies and for not longies for older babies, like hats, mittens, sweaters. I love the lightness of Licorice Twist and I love the barberpole thing. I love MMW for older babes and I love BBR for older babes as well. I like it's almost feltish feeling. I do like the way Cestari feels, but I prefer something less chemically processed, which MMW and BBR are.

I hate MMW. It usually softens up. I just don't like knitting it. I do like cestari but I feel like the softness varies a lot.

I really like it! (The Uruguay 3-ply). All of mine is from Mosaic Moon. The longies that DD wore most this season are on that base in her Remembrance colorway.

Good to know. Mine is a MM colorway too. I wonder why you don't see it more.

Gaia Aran is my new favorite base! Also like BBR 3 ply. Purewool does seem nice...might have to order some whenever there's a buy through a co-op.

For cold weather and smaller babies: BFL and Gaia
For cold weather and bigger babes: MMR and Cestari
For hot weather and all ages: LT (love how light it is!)
