preschool requirements?

I know Indiana is one of the few states that do no require or fund preschool. But I heard that would be changing or they are pushing to try to change that. Does anyone know how i can find out what are current school requirements in my state? especially if i do decide to homeschool?

I didn't know any states "required" preschool, our state (Arkansas) doesn't even require Kindergarten, you just have to sign a form saying that you are passing on the option to take it. We do have some state funded preschools but you have to have low income or certain disabilities to qualify. I would be very surprised if this is something that will be required for your state.

You can find the HS'ing laws on the HSLDA website. The standard for the school system you should be able to look up on your county website. Google it.

Looks like your public education common core standards start for Kindergarten. You can typically find state requirements by searching your state's name and either "standard course of study" or "common core". I've never seen "requirements" for preschool either, but here's a list from World Book of what they should know if you want a sort of curriculum guide just for reference.

Ours doesn't even require anything until age 8.
