The kids are playing Star Wars, and in this reality Anakin doesn't go to the Dark Side. I don't think they realize that destroys the whole plotline of six movies and movie-going as we know it.

Not sure i can. Some newer models you can't, something about the valves, and I can't pull up the manual right now to verify I am not going to try. It doesnt click when I turn it or smell like gas. Since the power comes back on at noon I am not worried.

The utility truck is outside now, so it won't be long. I will look up the manual later today and see what it says about lighting it without power. I thought I could, but I guess some of the newer ones you can't. If I knew that I would have made that part of the appliance criteria, lol.

If you turn it on as if you had power and then add a flame to it it should start fine...it's not like it gets a spark to it all the time, only when you turn it on, so it shouldn't make any difference.

rice is cooking and should be done for when the family gets home.

I just noticed I'd forgotten my meds...so that's going to be interesting when I'm meant to be going to bed tonight. I took them but I'm already only getting around 5 hours sleep as it is. Going to bed at around 1am and getting up at 6am...and not napping usually.
