Ugh...this bronchitis is really getting annoying. Wheezing, coughing, and snotty nose.

Jen, Cheryl, Jess...someone.

Tell me about concentrate juice. So many recipes have frozen concentrate juice thawed. What can I use?

Re: Basically its Wednesday!

Hey, Ashley, that's pretty much how I think all day long, LOL.

Janine, IDK about the concentrate. Maybe boil juice down on the stove? IDK.

So I did actually try to light the stove, and I have manually lit stoves before so I am not a total idiot. And there was nothing, nada. Apparently some of the newer stoves either have electronic instead of manual valves, so you don't get any gas when you turn the knob if there's no electricity. Some models will go so far as to say it is a "safety feature" that it can't operated without electricity - whatever. It will say in the manual if you can light it manually, and mine doesn't say. Doesn't matter, power is back on now.

Interesting...so it's not really concentrated down. It's just all of the orange turned into juice. I see. Thanks Jess. I can do that with my food processor.

I didn't know that...good idea though....I guess it stops people sticking their heads in the stove lol!

That's weird about the stove... I never knew that. I'll be in the market for a gas range soon and will definitely make that a criteria! After losing power for 7 days a year ago then 11 days 2 months later here in CT I take emergency preparedness a little more seriously LOL
