That's right. That's about one month's worth of cleaning. All going to the women's shelter tomorrow. Multiply that by the last 6 or 8 months and you get an idea of what I've gotten rid of.

Let's see some more pictures.

We took stuff to the Salvation Army drop-off today... I wish I had taken pictures! 2 weeks worth of purging and it filled the bed of DHs truck!

Sending DH to the thrift store today with all of this! Wish I would have included all the things I've sold as well.

Re: Pictures

Here's mine that's going on freecycle. That's maybe a week's worth of stuff, and I've been going at this pace for a while now. And there's actually 2 more bags added after this picture, and even more stuff back in there.

I'm really excited to finish up the living room with remodeling the fireplace, re-doing the baseboards and painting (we already re-finished the floor)... with so much stuff coming out of there it's going to look awesome. I found a picture from maybe a year ago and it looks absolutely PACKED! I can't believe we lived there with so much stuff. So be on the lookout in a few weeks for a remodeled and minimalized living room post. I think just imagining the before and after shots is motivation for me to get going on this.

Re: Pictures

Yikes, maybe I'll take some pictures of my basement & you ladies can help motivate me. It is overwhelming so I just don't go down there....not a great solution. I have about 6 garbage bags waiting to go to the womens shelter.

We have moved twice in the last year & a half. The first time I got rid of...5? full grand prix loads of stuff, the second 2! We were living out of two bedrooms for 3 years, I have no idea how we had so much junk.

DH decided to take all his work/business/training books to his office! Look at the empty shelves behind the boxes! Yes! That inspired me to also pass along all my schooling books to someone who is still in the field. She'll use them more than i. (never)
