Re: i really wouldn't mind seeing my husband... no, really...
Oh, I hear you, mama. My DH leaves between midnight and 1 in the morning and sometimes doesn't get home until 6 at night. That's a long, long day.
I need a car. This is almost 9 months of this and by Thursday, the walls start closing in on me.

Re: i really wouldn't mind seeing my husband... no, really...
My hubby has been gone at least 13hours a day five to six days a week. Its rough, and can get lonely and isolating. Im thankful for his hard work though, and hebis for mine. I try to have the kids do sweet pictures for him, and I remind them of why daddy is gone a lot.

Re: i really wouldn't mind seeing my husband... no, really...
I'd like to see mine too! But I keep telling myself that we have to just suffer through February and then he isn't going anywhere March or April with the new baby being due. But seriously, I was in the states, came home last Wednesday, he got home Friday and left yesterday to come back next Friday for 5 days before leaving for a week again. I was so irritated because I could have just stayed in the states another couple weeks (though really, I couldn't because I think I would be too far along to fly back at that point.) But seriously, did I just come home to see you for 10 days out of 30?! I was slightly irritated. I tell myself it could always be worse, he could be deployed again.

Mine had a work schedule like that for years. Now he gets done with work at about 6pm each evening, unfortunately, it's in another city so he only comes home on weekends. Sucks, but you do what you need to do to provide for your family.

Re: i really wouldn't mind seeing my husband... no, really...
Mine has gotten to a place in his profession where he has to get about 45 hours in sometime between 8-6 five days a week. But, I've gone back to work and 3 nights a week I leave the house at 6 pm and get home between 8-9 am.
Just for example, yesterday he and the kids left before I got home. Last night, he got home 20 minutes before I had to leave. This morning, I pulled onto our street as he and the kids sat in the car waiting on the bus. So, I got 5 minutes to say hello and get a hug before they all left. Tonight, he won't be home until after I leave. Saturday, I will sleep a good portion of the day and then we have a planned activity that involves both of us, but we won't be together.
