Re: Tax Return - What are you going to do with it?
2k goes towards next year's property taxes, 900 goes toward this years life insurance, and 500 goes toward home owners insurance. After that we can use the rest to finish off a room in the basement. yes we are boring.

Re: Tax Return - What are you going to do with it?
Ours isn't all that big... it will pay off the last little bit of CC debt and pay for our CSA shares for the year. Would love to get more back, but we decided to change deductions a couple years ago so that we have more each month, plus we no longer qualify for EIC.

Ours is for: giving, new garage roof, a year's worth of life insurance, brakes on my car, a screen door, swings for the backyard, and save the rest.

Re: Tax Return - What are you going to do with it?
Not exactly sure yet but we will be paying a friend back $500 first thing. Then the rest will either go to getting a reliable vehicle for DH or moving and home selling expenses.

Re: Tax Return - What are you going to do with it?
Ours is small (less than $1000) and it'll just go sit in savings for a while until I go back to work after maternity leave. So not exciting this year!

Re: Tax Return - What are you going to do with it?
We took in 2 foster kids ( already had 2 of our own) in November and only had a car so we needed a van. We bought a van and had hoped we could pay it off with our tax return and the sale of DH dirt bike.
Then this month we invested in a HE washer and dryer because it was needed. I filed our taxes yesterday and I was so pleased. We are getting enough back just from taxes to pay off the van. We sold the dirt bike this week which will pay off the washer and dryer and we have enough to pay for our 1/4 of a cow we are buying and have $1000 left for savings. I feel so blessed!
