Re: February Spending Accountability thread

1. Kids: Camp $320 (budgeted out of tax refund)
2. 0 - surgery yesterday, recovering today - cooked enough this week that DH can just pull stuff out and not have to order food!
3. Grocery: CSA Share $750 (Tax return: this is essentially, other than bananas and some fruit in the winter, ALL of our produce for the year), Grocery (drugstore.com) $30 - laundry detergent, soap, cleaning products, etc - free shipping AND $25 restaurants.com gc (still recovering, this seemed like the best way to get what I needed without going out), Utilitiles: $330 (no clue why this is so high - we made some changes, including getting a leaking shower fixed this month to try to lower it)
4. Grocery (CVS) $8, Eating out (post-funeral for DH's grandfather) $50, Gas $60
5. Grocery: $60, Walmart (valentines, tee shirt for school to paint, pjs pants for me) $35
6. Grocery: $38
7. Kids: New piano books (yay my kid is doing great... but the last books only lasted 6 months... )$25

8. Grocery: $30 (cold cuts, etc for the storm)
9. Eating out: $25 pizza (DD was begging for "take-out" pizza - I was going to make it but DH caved )
10. $40 knitting class, $15 CVS (huge couponing success - contact solution, saved $21)
11. $230 Dentist (portion uncovered by insurance for 2 cleanings, broken tooth repair, and a filling with anesthesia), $37 Chiro, $35 dance, $105 Swimming lessons (March - April)
12. $53 Milk & Egg delivery for last month, $57 weekly grocery
13. Grocery $10 (because I'm an idiot and forgot butter yesterday)
14. $26 Valentine's Day (choc strawberries, cupcakes, etc for kids & DH), $17 eyebrow threading, $$$ booked both kids' bday parties (budgeted out of tax return)

Re: February Spending Accountability thread

We just decided to order pizza for dinner. I had dinner planned but it's just been such a busy day that I had no desire to actually make it. $21 for pizza, cheese sticks, tip, and delivery. I also spent $215 at the grocery store. We are already over budget for groceries this month so here's to hoping I'm stocked up enough for the rest of the month. dh also stopped and picked up some more stain so that he can finish re-finishing the trim in the house $32. Oh, and yesterday he has a battery put into his watch so that was $15 and I will have to update yesterday's spending.

Re: February Spending Accountability thread

Nothing spent today. Friends from out of town came and we had a great couple days. Thankful I planned meals ahead of time. No plans to go anywhere besides church this weekend. We have a new puzzle and new movie calling our names for family weekend. Actually, we opened the puzzle 2 weeks ago but never started it and the movie I got w. PayPal fund for $.99. Love our family weekends, homemade pizzas, activities such as games or puzzles, movies. 8 of us can have a great time just being home, I never understand when people say they have to go out...? Maybe cause I realize it is allot of work to go anywhere with more than 3 kids...

Re: February Spending Accountability thread

dh bought dd a new night stand today. We have been redecorating her room and he found one that was on sale for $49 down from $120. It's super cute and I'm glad he picked it up. With tax it was $55. Then he spent $12 at joann fabrics. We needed spray adhesive and felt for a basket that sits on a shelf on a table. I didn't want the bottom of the basket to scratch up the table when it was being moved in and out. He did remember to use the coupons I sent with him! Tonight we are going out for dinner with my family to celebrate my dad's and brother's bday. My dad will treat us.

LOL, I think we were the last two standing int he accountability threads either last summer or the one before that. ETA: I think a lot of people update their first post with their spending. I like to see the updates though.

AFM, we're not leaving the house today and I have no intention of buying anything online. I'm trying to make the most of the day and declutter and clean. I've been sorting ds' outgrown clothes for a consignment sale coming up and I've been at it for weeks! I need to get my hands on more kids hangers but I'm not having any luck. I've posted a couple times on freecycle but I haven't had any offers. Any other ideas on where I can find some without having to buy them?
