hashimoto's in pregnancy
Im 20 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroiditis this week. My b12 is in the toilet. D level is good. Im already gluten free. What else can I safely do to heal?
My endo is changing my thyroid med, adding t3, and giving me this rx nose spray for the b12. Sigh Advertisement

Re: hashimoto's in pregnancy
I've read that Selenium can help lower your Hashi's antibodies. I believe the recommendation is 200mcg a day. Are you also dairy free? Another option is acupuncture, and many autoimmune thyroid patients swear by yoga. Otherwise it sounds like you are doing all you can, and it is great that your doctor is willing to give you T3 (so many are not that knowledgeable).
I'm in a similar boat, but I have Graves Disease (hyperthyroid). Trying all of the above (in addition to GF, Vit D, B12, & anti-thyroid meds in my case) to lower my antibody levels to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
