Opinions on Thirsties Duo AIO

I am going through our TTC stash and simplifying. So, please pardon me for a bit. I will probably have several threads today.

I want to like these as an easy diaper for our church nursery. Aplix is not my favorite, but I can live with it if it rides below the belly instead of right across it. Also, has anyone had issues with wicking with the encased leg elastic? That was always an issue for my older kids.

Any other issues? I need to decide if these stay out go.

Yes, I've had some wicking issues, however, if I put just a small help babies doubler in them (or equivilent)I have not had any leaking issues. Super easy diapers. They'd be great for the church nursery. I know the aplix isn't the best, but I have a few in my stash, been used regularily since they the new version came out and they work fine, not the most attractive aplix anymore, but it does work.

Mine leaked every time through the rise snaps. Bummer too because I loved the fit.

Yes, and we also have issues with the wicking along the elastic.

The aplix is the worst in the business.

That said, it is the best fitting diaper we have. We have a few of them. I very genuinely wish Thirsties would sell their pattern to a maker who would use a better quality PUL and fix the elastic wicking. It would be the perfect diaper.

I got an aplix BG 4.0 from the seconds sale for my bachelor brother-in-law to use when he babysits :-) I'm guessing the church nursery probably has similar needs.

I think I may be the only person here that is totally unimpressed with BG products.

I think our nursery may have to deal with side snaps unless I decide on a few Nana's Bottoms.

Do they have encased elastic? Do they ride under the belly?

You do not have to tuck the elastic in like on BGE or Peachy Green.

Ride under the belly.. .like way under or under the belly button? The rise isn't super low, but it's not high either. Wonder if someone has a pic.

The absorbency should work for you. They aren't super absorbent like a BGE, but they are for sure trustworthy for 1.5 to 2 hours. Super trim, super easy. Aplix is wonderful.
