How do you keep track?

I have been buying entirely too many diapers for our lo on the way. Some are seconds, but you can't tell by looking. I know the tag is marked now, but I am sure it will eventually wash off, so how do you keep track of which are first quality and which are not? I do not want to be deceptive when I resell.

I do plan on keeping track of my spending, so I guess I could add some sort of very specific description of the seconds diapers to that spread sheet. I am just afraid of goofing and whoever buys finding the flaw and thinking I did it intentionally.

Re: How do you keep track?

I always figure by the time the black has worn off, the market value is low enough that it doesn't matter. A second with defects, you would see the defect and point it out at the time of resale. A second with a dirt smudge MIGHT yield a dollar or two more down the line, but overall I don't think it matters that much.

I keep the receipts, the markings on the tag never washed out on mine.

Re: How do you keep track?

I've only bought seconds from cottonbabies, but the mark is big and never washes out. Plus, I just sort of remember. After hundreds of diapers, I still remember which ones are the seconds without looking at the tags

We've had some for years and those marks are still there.
