Re: Dilluting bac-out

Am I just crazy and imagining that people here normally diluted bac-out?

Re: Dilluting bac-out

what are you diluting it for? I soak the mf nighttime inserts. I fill a small shoe box size tupperware with water, about 1/2-2/3 full, and give it a healthy squirt of bac-out.

I don't use it for anything else at the moment.

I was planning to give the pile in the diaper pail a squirt after nighttime dipes and poo dipes go in.

I think lots if people dilute it down and keep it in a spray bottle for poopies and overnight diapers. And others add a squirt to the prerinse or wash when they do laundry. It broke DS out terribly so we don't use it for diapers anymore.

Re: Dilluting bac-out

I'd say a squirt or 2 depending on size of pail. 5 gallon bucket 2/3 full probably 2 healthy squirts. half full 1 squirt; 1/4 full a smallish squirt. My squirt in the shoe box is probably a small squirt.

Not sure what I would do for a spray bottle. Does the bottle give any suggestions?

Not crazy :-) I bought a spray bottle first and didnt dilute, but then bought the gallon which says concentrated, but doesn't say how to dilute. I arbitrarily decided 50-50. Not sure if that's right but it seems so work :-)

Re: Dilluting bac-out

This is from the company's website:

"Question: Do I need to dilute the Bac-Out Stain & Odor Eliminator before using this product?

Answer: Whether or not the Bac-Out needs to be diluted really depends on what it’s being used for. It is concentrated; meaning a small amount of product can be very effective. In most cases, it is used full-strength; this includes treating organic stains on laundry and carpet, cleaning sink/bathtub drains and garbage disposals, and treating other targeted cleaning issues. For projects where diluting might be more appropriate (such as general deodorizing, supplemental cleaning in the bathroom or kitchen, diaper soak pails, etc.) add cup of Bac-Out to each gallon of water."
