Yeah I don't know. Is this some kind of herbal thing. These got crazier and crazier with #3,4, and then 5. It's the only part that's gotten worse, not better, with more babies.

Ok I will look it up. I am always skeptical about herbal stuff at first LOL. But I am off to look it up right now...

I'm planning on emailing our mw for dds birth and asking what she gave me for after pains. It might have been afterease, it was herbal. It seriously worked! Hopefully pains after #3 aren't too much worse...

Jen, prepare yourself. They do tend to get worse-increasingly so- from what I've heard until about #6 or so. After more births, your uterus has to work harder to return to its shape... Kind of like if you keep blowing up a balloon and then returning it down to that small original size. It just takes more effort and strain the more you blow it up to full size.

Oh yes!! Afterease is wonderful! I've used it after all my homebirths, and I can't say enough positive about it.

Well I didn't get it in time... He was born two days ago. But I have been taking red raspberry leaf still along with my cycle of trading out ibuprofen/Tylenol every few hours. I think it's been tolerable this time around.
