I'm all alone....

...and I'm loving it!

For all he gets on my nerves, DH definitely knows when it's time to let me have a little peace and quiet. I had a headache this morning, so he brought me breakfast in bed (just bread and o.j., but that's all I asked for), made pancakes, fed the kids, changed at least two poopy diapers, and took them to church so I could rest at home. Now he has taken them down to my parents' house to watch the Super Bowl and I'm home, my headache is gone, and I can't quite decide what to do next. Read? Sew? Sit on the couch and enjoy the silence? All I know is, I can't do any real work (I work from home) because I finished my part of the project and my supervisor hasn't gotten back to me about what to work on next.

If I were in your position, and the house was reasonably clean, I would put on a movie and paint my nails.

I love being alone. That was my last birthday/anniversary (they are two days apart) present, I got one night alone in a hotel and it was just nice.

Re: I'm all alone....

It was great! I do get some alone-ish time during the week when the 6-year-old is at school and the 2-year-old is a Mother's Day Out, but usually that time is taken up with work and chores and errands, so it was nice to have a couple of hours to do nothing but fun stuff. I watched some episodes of "Remington Steele" on Hulu, ate dinner without anyone climbing on me, and got a whole quilt block put together - okay, so it felt like half the time I was forging a close, personal relationship with my seam ripper, but it all came out well in the end.
