Need 3rd b-day gift help for my DD1

What would you get a 3 year old girl who doesn't really play with toys? I'm stumped for DD1. She has a lot of art stuff, books, & my mom got her a lot of dress up stuff. She does need Spring clothes but my sister is getting her some & my mom got her a bathing suit so I'd rather her not get only clothes. She's never had an actual celebration for her birthday. We've never had family in town for it & for the past two years she's gotten one gift. This year she is really excited about it & we want to give her a really special day. Any gift ideas?

& just because she is adorable...my almost 3 year old!

For my daughter's 3rd, we put on a girl's only tea party with our aunts and they wore fancy clothes. I made rooibos and herbal tea, had fancy cups and we ate cheese and crackery stuff. My daughter was beyond thrilled. I bought her a fancy looking journal and some scissors.

At that age and beyond she also enjoys the M&D magnetic dress-up dolls. It's different than a toy. I also put together a real, working medical (doctor's ) kit for her at that age. Oh, and rainbow rice.

My daughter was 3 in December and her favorite things are dress up, my little pony and small figurine sets from the Disney store (they have them for each movie and princess sets etc). She really like imaginative play like that. She has the M&D magnetic doll too and does enjoy them also. I feel like all of a sudden her "play" skills exploded so your daughter may be just on the verge. My daughter has two older cousins though so maybe that is where she learned? I dunno

MIL got my daughter this bear doll that you can color on, wash clean and color again. I thought it would be a bust but both of my girls love it.

She is a cutie!

Re: Need 3rd b-day gift help for my DD1

Dd2 never played with toys at that age either. She rarely dressed up but she loved a rapinzel wig I made her (her favorite movie at the time) and it actually got her into dressing up. She like stuff she could do things with. So at that age she loved a scooter, rocking horse - that kind of thing. Books have always been popular and puzzles. She was very very hard to shop for at age 3 because she didn't play with most stuff. She probably would have enjoyed a rody horse at that age (she loves a bouncing ball now).

My dd turned 3 two days ago. She loves all things playdoh! I have resisted playdoh for years, but it is the only thing that she had ever spent hours playing with so I have in!

My almost 3yo DD loves playing music with a musical set (shake eggs, xylophone, tambourine...) and food pretend play (from ikea) for her little ponies. HTH!

My 3 year old DD loved playdough and puzzles for her birthday. She's turning 4 soon and we got her a bike.

Doodlebear. My daughter LOVES the Doodlebear. Comes with a short DVD. I thought my daughter wouldn't like it either, but it became a little obsession of hers for a while. Still is, but I need to watch her like a hawk with the markers.
