I'm thinking the T.V. is gonna go soon if I have to see another....

Private part! I mean come on!! Is the T.V. becoming a **** (rhymes with horn) network for every show now? Name ONE teen movie you have seen that DIDN'T have a girl with hard nipples... Constantly always seeing a boob, a hiney, I saw the back of a man the other day! The entire back end of him, balls and all. I don't mind it really for grown ups- ya know, whatever, I look down and see them or I can tell my husband to strip! Hahah but really? I DON'T want my kids to accidently see that. BBC even has raunchy commercials now (We Top Gear). Oh yeah and the Go Daddy commercials- the Super Bowl one was quite...interesting

I told my husband if I start seeing more balls and vajayjay's that's gonna be it for me. Over sexualization is not for me. Privates are for private. Am I right?

We got rid of tv for a few years and just used Netflix Streamed and DVDs. Then DH saw how much I loved Downton and he loves college football and so he bought an antennae that gets in NBC and PBS and a lot of Christian stations (we live out in the hills so it's a miracle we got those 2 main ones). So we just turn on the antennae on Saturdays during football season and on Sunday nights for my show.Other than that it's Netflix.

We just use Hulu and Netflix. Netflix only for the kids. I've about gotten rid of our tv many times but DH won't go for it.

ITA! The language on the half hour programs is a bit much too. I would get rid of tv if DH would go for it

I want to ditch the directv so bad, but hubby watches ALL sports
The GoDaddy commercial during the super bowl yesterday was awful in my opinion. My two DS were watching it with DH too and it is an obvious discomfort when things like that come on tv. Ugh!

The nakedness or sexual stuff I could care less about! but the toy commercials and gun/war video game commercials are really irritating me.

All we watch here is Nick Jr and kids TV, so I have missed all the sex on TV the last few years. It would drive me crazy though. I did not watch the Superbowl so missed that too.

We got rid of cable partly for that reason. We have movies from the library. Instead of hulu/netflix, my husband got a subscription to iblp.org (sermon website). Works for us.

It's disgusting honestly, and I was amazed at how you slowly become desensitized to it if it did bother you before (for me. I found myself watching things I would have been appalled at two years prior). It needed to go.
