I think the parents should be ultimately responsible for their kids getting the goodies to you. If your kid was selling something you would make sure it got to people, right? The school should make them pay it back!!

That's good to know that at least the school cares! Good sign, IMO!

If it were MY kid, I would make sure it was done right... & ALL goods were delivered... I'd feel the school's reputation, my reputation, & my kids' reputations were on the line.... and that I'd better get it all handled correctly... & if something slipped through, because mistakes do happen (although at this point you aren't sure it was a mistake, but you don't know that it was not... poorly handled, yes, absolutely!), I would MAKE it right... & if MY child was one who messed up, I'd pay for it myself & have a long talk w/my DC about honesty, integrity, responsibility, etc!
