Can a friend mail a carton of cigarettes to another friend? I want to mail a friend one for his bday. He won't buy the better cigarettes with it if I send money. He smokes cheap cigar cigarettes that are nastier then normal cigarettes.

I think so. Not sure about state lines. There's usually an allotted amount. I know you can get I think** three cartons from out of country before you have to pay back the taxes. So may be a state to state rule as well.

I know you can't mail them into NY. Because NY wouldn't want to lose out on that tax cash. I think a pack of name brands cigarettes here are close to $11 if I remember the store sign correctly. They advertise "cheap" ones for about $8 something.

Wow I didn't know that...good to know. When we traveled to NY, the closer we got the price of cigarettes just skyrocketed $6...$7...$10...$12?!??!?!? I don't know how people afford it...

There's a way to mail them..signature mail I belueve? My mom sends them to my brother but has to do it a certain way

I mailed some to an ex-boyfriend when he was in the military oversees. I had to sign something and officially declare them-, but it was a really long time ago I don't remember the details.
