I need a new vaccuum. Help!

I need a new vaccum. We used a replacement card to get another stupid Dirt Devil when the other one broke. So not going there again!

I can't afford a Dyson, but want something good, that works well and won't clog up every stinkin' time I use it.

The Shark claims to be as good as a Dyson at half the cost, are they really that good?

Thanks!

God bless!

I like our shark. It clogs for us but we tend to go waaaaaaay too long between vacuuming and don't pick up big clumps of stuff. S that gets stuck. But if its a normal house with oral dirt and stuff then yeah it's great. I honestly just hate vacuuming, but this makes it a little more bearable.

Re: I need a new vaccuum. Help!

I recommend finding a reputable vacuum shop and asking them. They may have a refurbished model of a great vacuum in your price range that you normally wouldn't be able to afford. They would also know what the best vacuum in your price range would be.

Check for the other vacuum thread in the thrifty forum. We bought a refurbished Dyson for like $250.

I have the older version of this : http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20

Works great and I have been very happy with it. It is pretty basic but it works just as well or better than more expensive vacuums I have had in the past.

We have a Eureka Airspeed. It cost about $120 at Target a couple of years ago. It is consistently rated in the top 5 vacuums in consumer ratings. We love it.

subbing, we need a new vac too. Our last was a Bissell power clean multi cyclonic. It was awesome while it worked, but only lasted about 2.5 years. Not sure if thats good for a $200 vac or not
