I need a homecoming outfit!

i have gone to target, and several other stores, and i can't find anything that i want to bring this baby home in! we only have about 12 weeks left (i know, still some time), but i want to find an outfit to bring him home in asap.

i would love some wool longies (boy), and a matching shirt. if possible.
i also wouldn't mind just a super cute outfit to bring him home in that may not be homemade.

either way, i can afford a little bit, but it wouldn't be for two weeks or so until hubby gets paid.

anyone got anything/know of anything? i am out of ideas/places to look!

eta: i have larger babies. ds3 was 10#1 at birth... anticipating this baby to be in the 8#8 to 10# range as well.

oh man! i've been looking for weeks! i just can't seem to find anything i really want. if i was having a girl, i'd have a million choices! being our fourth boy, i want something 'different' but there just isn't much 'different' for little boys.

That's funny b/c ds1 had an outfit that was given to us at one of our showers (so easy!). For dd, i kept finding cute boy stuff and it was hard to find anything for her but since she was born just before Christmas i went that direction w/ her outfit. Now w/ds2, all I can find is cute girl stuff. Ugh.... So frustrating!

no, i haven't. mainly because i'm afraid that i would find something that i REALLY liked, and then someone else would snag it before i could come up with the money to pay for it. ;( i prefer bigger stores, so that there's plenty to go around, so that i know it is still likely to be there in 2-3 weeks, lol.

yeah. we were told this one was a girl at around 16-17 weeks, so i was becoming overwhelmed looking at all of the girl stuff, rofl. now we know it's a boy (no denying that weenie!) and i can't find anything for the life of me. he won't fit in it long, obviously, so i don't want to spend a boatload of money, but i want something cute. not something that everyone else is going to have, or be taking their baby home in, lol.

I feel kinda bad now because I didn't put DD in a special "coming home" outfit. The clothes I took to the hospital with us didn't really fit and I was so ready to get out of there when we were discharged that I didn't even care! She wore a tie-dyed onesie and purple babylegs and a jacket. Cute, but nothing special. I guess just be the first of many things I will do differently with future kiddos and she'll look back and pics and say, Why did you dress me in that? LOL

This was me, because dd surprised us 5 weeks early on Christmas morning and 3 days before my baby shower no less! Was waiting till after baby shower to see what we got. I didn't even have hospital bag packed yet!

OP good luck. There's a lot of cute things on hyena cart that have been sitting for some time, I bet as soon as you get the money you could look and find something fast.
