Quick! I need an answer.
Our company is 15 minuets late, and dinner is ready. What's the time etiquette for a phone call??

Re: Quick! I need an answer.
30 minutes? Woah I'm not that nice I guess. I'd start eating at 15 minutes, no reason for my family to have to eat cold food because the guests can't show up within a reasonable time.

I would say 30 minutes as well. I never plan to have my food ready before 30 minutes after guests are expected because sadly I assume most people will be late.

Hmm. I would have planned crudites for their arrival, not dinner, so probably 30 minutes?

Re: Quick! I need an answer.
I would give 20 min but I would have apps ready and dinner usually timed for an hour after people arrive so there is time to mingle over apps even if people are late. Hope your evening goes well

The bell rang about 30 seconds after I decided to post this, but I'll file away the 30 minuet rule for next time. :-) |
