Re: I need ideas to get more protein

cottage cheese very high even some good whole wheat bread is 5g per slice, yogurt, kefir, protein is in lots of pastas. if you look it's actually pretty hard to come up low on protein. like other suggested trying eggs different ways egg salad sandwhich(my fav) hard boiled, quiche. maybe have someone else cook for you sometimes it is the smell and actually seeing/cooking it but then you can eat it fine?

Hemp protein powder! Manitoba Farms HempPro70 is just hemp powder. GMO-free.

Yup! the hemp powder (mine even has added fiber!) and greek yogurt + pb in a fruit smoothie is awesome!

I was wondering if that was similar to 'freedom fries'

It takes me some courage to eat cottage cheese.

The one I get is the priciest one at our health food store, but it's pure hemp, no other ingredients. 4 tbsp has 21g of protein and 140 calories. I'm expecting twins and need big calories without feeling too full, so it's perfect for me. I use an immersion blender to mix it into liquids (usually four cups of cow's milk to really boost the protein count).

Re: I need ideas to get more protein

I've been trying out the hemp protein as well since I'm also expecting twins and find it almost impossible to eat the protein/calories. Nor do I want to eat anymore, lol.

It's miserable!!! I'm 34+4 and kind of petering out, but I did meet my goals every day for most of the pregnancy. I focus most on the protein now as less on the calorie count.
