Invoicing with Paypal?

So, is this the thing to do now?

I have noticed a lot more requests for invoices, whereas a few years ago it was non-existent.
Is this a new trend? Any special reason for this? Is it easier to pay an invoice with an iphone? (my guess)

just curious..

Re: Invoicing with Paypal?

Well, I don't have an iPhone. I have an HTC. But it is easier to pay when mobile if you're invoiced. I've only been invoiced twice though. I've always just paid for what I'm buying.

Some people said when they're buying multiple things at once is easier to make sure the money gets to the right person. Makes sense.

Re: Invoicing with Paypal?

If I am on my nook it is tricky to copy and paste an email to pay someone so being invoiced is easier...

Re: Invoicing with Paypal?

I have had buyers ask to be invoiced if they want me to hold an item for a couple days. I am fine with that.

I will sometiems ask to be invoiced if I know it will be awhile--like the next day before I can get on the computer to send pp. that way they know I want the item and wont' flake.

Re: Invoicing with Paypal?

as a seller, i resistant to invoicing b/c it's a little more work...but now i LOVE it. A few reasons. If i'm selling a lot of things, it keeps straight who buys what. Also, if they do not pay within 24 hours (my personal payment window), I cancel the invoice. This greatly reduces the risk of duplicate sells (b/c some people think they can pay days later and just hope you still have something).

As a buyer- yes, way easier if you're mobile, but also you can use the "bill me later" option if you want when paying from an invoice, but not regular "send money" feature

The main perk an invoice gives you that normal transactions don't, is that you don't have to have a PP account to pay for an invoice. You can do a one time payment with a card, no hassle. And you still end up with all of the same notifications and protection.

Ok, so I'm selling my first diapers. I read the rules and the post on how to buy. BUT, I haven't seen anything on how to sell through PayPal. Am I missing something? :/
