Yeah, I wouldn't mess with Christine!

So I am home. The day was actually pretty good. I had all morning to work on my own stuff - marking, growth plans, etc. then this afternoon I was in the kindergarten room. Read one-on-one with some kids, watched a movie and did some centres.

It got heinous when it was time to come home. They did not clear the school parking lot ALL. DAY. My car was buried past the bumper. It took the help of three teachers and half an hour to get out of the parking lot. The drive home (all of two minutes) was snow-covered but okay. Then I got home and had to have some of the kids help me shovel out my parking space (for the second time today) so I could park. This is the biggest storm that I have seen in Toronto in, well, maybe ever?

Sounds like a super productive snow day Mel. Sorry for the ridiculous after school time. Is E home? Does Ru have a car or is she on the bus or is she home?

Holy carp, Mel! I can't get anyone to play outside. They all want to stay inside. We are still sitting at around 6 inches, not bad.

I've only seen snow like that once in the 14 years I've lived in Germany. It was in 2001, I was working as an apprentice in a Bäckerei and I had to dig my car out twice too.

Jess, I will lend you one of my icicles. I have had this with Raj before, I cut it close because *he* promises to go take one/both/all of the kids somewhere and then doesn't, and I am stuck racing the clock vs. running out of gas in the cold. Boo. Nothing says love like keeping your wife's gas tank full.

Re: Happy Friday

We had stupid snow off and on all day. It'd snow hard and heavy for a little while and then stop but as everything turned white. An hour later and it was all gone again. Half hour after that it'd start all over again.
