Definately avoid the Kirk(something or other) chicken strips by the cheese. They are NOT Tyson. The frozen fit activ kind are tasty though. Also their fake Good Humor bars are disgusting. Jodie ~ mama to Big K, Medium K & Lil' k

They have the best frozen broccoli!
We use chicken broth, baby wipes (.99$), canned black beans, corn, peas, tomatoes, produce, just basics. They have introduced some newer gourmet type stuff kalamata olives and fancy cheese have been good. |

We buy about 90% of our groceries from aldi- crackers, chips, cookies, cereals, yogurt, cheeses, frozen veggies, we like the nuggets though someone else noted they don't
, chicken Kiev, produce, ketchup ( very similar to Heinz, just slightly sweeter), frozen juice, frozen fruit. Pretty much the only thing we don't get there is meat (ours comes directly from an organic farm), milk because its cheaper at Costco (though we will buy it at aldi if we are low and already there), deli salads because the couple i tried were yucky, and some odds and ends that aldi doesn't carry. Between aldi and Costco I never step foot in a grocery store unless they are running some absurdly cheap coupon/ sales items

Re: $5 off a spiral ham at aldi...fyi...
Yes, you really have to read the labels as pp said.
Mainly I get .... milk, cheese, bread( I don't like it but DS does as it's "soft", I prefer more grainy wg bread), any of the luxury or chocolate items. Yogurts are not my fave but will do in a pinch. Someone said the greek is good. Bag of salad is cheap. Meat - ground beef, pork chops are good. Frozen is very hit and miss. Cereal is really the same as other stores, you can get junky or less junky. They have a decent mexican food section....taco's are taco's IMO, no brand name needed. Then of course the fresh produce. Oh, yes to the nuts, just got a 32oz thing of cashews for DH for $9.99 which he said is really good compared to meijer.

Oh, I don't have good luck with some of the hba items like trash bags tear more easily then heafty, plastic ziploc baggies are fine though. Shampoo just way too perfumed and baby wipes more like the cheaper baby wipes, I'd prefer targets.

This week they just started their "Asian" line this week. They have soy sauce, wok sauces and dipping sauces as special buys, so they'll have it until their shipment all sells out.
