Re: Crotch danglers??
I had a jeep crotch dangler with dd. thank goodness for the Internet and forums. I soon learned about the ergo. I got it when she was 4 months old. With my second kiddo I learned about slings and wraps and kinder packs. Sooooo much nicer. Dd1 was my most difficult baby too. I wonder if that's because I didn't have any awesome carriers for her. Would have made life so much easier.

Re: Crotch danglers??
Drives me insane! I couldn't use those on my babies. Not good for their little hips

Here's the thing. Sometimes moms do what works. I bought an Ergo. I bought three different kinds if ring slings. I bought a Becco. I spent hundreds. My baby hates ALL of them. All. Of. Them. Know what my baby thinks is the bees knees? A damn snuggli that cost four bucks at a thrift store. Do I love that it's a crotch dangler? Of course not. Are there times I have to be mobile and a baby carrier is the best option? You bet. I hate the side eye I get from moms who are silently judging me like I'm doing irreparable harm to my baby...so let's be more forgiving of one another - we're all doing our best.

Re: Crotch danglers??
honestly ladies? babyearing is a sweet and wonderful thing regardless of the type of carrier. Snugli/Bjorn tyle carriers have been around for a long time and i don't know of a single adult with hip problems from being worn in one a a baby. has it never occured to you that the *dangers* might be a little overhyped?! my baby hates all SSCs - bjorn, ergo, WCHB dream carrier, and mei tai (those are what we've tried). he loves wraps and ring slings. am i glad? of course! they're the most comfortable for me too, and the prettiest...but would it matter if he liked the bjorn? no.

Re: Crotch danglers??
I had no idea brand names and types of carriers until I started reading on diaperswappers. I had what everone here calls a crotch dangler with my oldest. Her legs turned purple within the first 5 minutes of wearing her in it. I switched to our ring sling. As I have been able to wear my daughter comfortable to 45lbs in it I have never seen any reason to try another type of carrier. I have and still use a ring sling for all my babies.
