Can you buy a step on diaper pail in a store?

Like Walmart or Target?

Or should I buy a plastic garbage can with a step on thingy?

The puppy keeps getting into the diaper pail (I haven't needed to put a lid on it) So, I need one with a lid, but I need a hands free pail.

I bought a very nice, good seal, step on kitchen pail that perfectly fits a planetwise liner for $35 at HomeGoods. It's stainless steel, plastic on the inside, and I have been significantly happier with it than any diaper pails we have had. I see them all the time there, at Marshalls, and TJ Maxx

I got a regular plastic kitchen step can from Wal-Mart (bleh, hate the place but the only place I could find one for cheap). I use planet wise liners and it is perfect!

I just bought a garbage pail and use it with a planet wise wet bag. Works fine for us.

I bought a step on- lid opening diaper pail at k-mart for around $13. It's a cosco I think? It has a smaller top that flips open instead of the whole lid. Going on 3 years strong, unlike the trash step on one I bought at wal-mart that broke after 3 months of use.

That's a good thought... the daycare kids will want to step on it all the time, it will wear out faster. I'll look for that pail tonight.

I bought a step on trash can with a locking lid at bed bath and beyond. It's funny but I never even thought about buying an official diaper pail, didn't even realize there is such a thing. Just assumed everyone used trashcans, lol

We have a slim plastic garbage step can that the pail liner fits in perfectly. And it fits great next to the toilet and wall.

The nice part about it is the lid snaps on tight, so if it gets tipped over it won't come off (good if puppy learns he can just tip the trash over). Plus the container is really tough and washes clean - doesn't hold odors.
