Re: I need nickname ideas!
What a cute post! I'm used to seeing baby name posts, but never a nickname one.

We named our DD Norah, and she has a few nicknames:
Norah-bug, or just "Bug" Nory-bird (used this more during her squeaky nb phase) Sugar pie or sugar beans DH calls her sweetie & honey DS makes up variations, like "stink bug" or "stinky pie" because he finds it funny. But mostly, he calls her "Norah-bug" almost exclusively, never just "Norah". Shortly after starting preschool, his teacher pulled me aside to ask what his sister's name really was, because she was having trouble understanding who he was talking about.

DD1 is baby doll, DD2 is sweets.
DD1 is also snuggle sheep. It was originally snuggle bear but she changed it to sheep and named little sister snuggle rooster. The cat is snuggle frog. Last edited by Mom2jandb; 02-15-2013 at 07:44 PM. |

What a great question! Where to start??!
My daughter (Ariana 3.5yrs) is predominately called Missy May and lately Pokey Pants bc she doddles and "farts around" as my mother would say! She is also Monsterface, Miss Muss or Mussy, Mussyface, and a plethora of others that I come up with daily. Her name for herself was YaYa for a while so when I refer to her when talking to my son she is YaYa. Can't just talk about one kiddo, so... My son (Johnny 10mos) is Johnny Cakes- all day every day to me. But my husband (Dada) calls him Nonny (how my niece says his name), Nanu Nanu (like Star Trek or something!!) or Mr. Cakes. |

My DD has more nicknames than her brother.
Geester And Bogie were nicknames when she was a baby. Now I usually call her Punkin or Sugar B. My DS has always been Jady-bug or just Bug. |

Re: I need nickname ideas!
We use "Lady Jane" (nobody is named Jane), "Jelly Bean" form "You know what I mean Jelly Bean?" Our son Noah became "No No" because that was how he said his name when he learned to speak. Our other son is "Biddley". One child is "Skeezer Stunnen" or "Skeezer". Our Sophia is "Fia" or "Foo" or "Fia Foo". "Fia" is nice at school for there are sooo many Sophies. Events in life, need to not be 1 of 5 in cleass or our children's own speech formed their nicknames.
