a mom fail kind of a day

Today started off great, I was getting stuff done and the boys were happily playing lego. Then G comes upstairs complaining that his nose hurts, and that there is something in it. Long story short he shoved a piece of lego up his nose far enough I had to take him into emerg to get it out. Couple hours later we're home, and he doesn't seem much the worse for wear. They had a quiet time, then were watching a show. Seems harmless enough right? Yeah... G is sitting on a chair and randomly falls off (seriously, this child has a knack for random falls) smacks his head, and needed FIVE stitches to close the cut on his face.

We haven't had to see a doctor in months and now twice in one day for the same child. Hoping tomorrow is a less dramatic day.

Those are the days you sit down with a giant bowl of ice cream and a feel-good book or movie after you tuck your kids in bed. (((Hugs)))

We hadn't seen the dr in a long time...then had both boys in emergency the same week for stitches. I hear ya.

Oh my gosh poor mama! Tmw has to be awesome and balance life out for you we recently had to call 911 for the first time. Dd2 (5 yr old) stuck her fingers in this tiny Metal holes on an antique pan. We tried everything- butter, ice, etc. her fingers were swelling and turning purple. It took 6 firefighters 30 mins to cut the metal off without cutting her fingers off. Ugh. All the rest of the day I kept thinking I bet she gets hurt again and we call 911 twice. Thankfully not :P
