Introducing cow milk before the official birthday?

My baby will be 11 months in two weeks. He's been on milk based formula since 8 months (I dried up, very sad). The formula is really breaking the bank. Almost $75 a month! I was thinking about introducing cows milk once he's reached 11months. Would this harm him? Or should I wait the extra month?
My first son nursed for 13 months and went cold turkey to cows milk no problems.

My Mood:
It depends on the baby. DS1 was eating most of his meals at the table by 11 months old and taking very few bottles. Milk probably would have been ok for him. DS2 hardly ate any food at that point and got the vast majority of his nutrition from nursing still. Cow's milk wouldn't have been enough for him.

For both my kids I started switching them from nursing to cows milk at 11 months. I added one bottle of whole milk a week until they were doing all cows milk by one year
