Moving beyond the page, 1 way NOT to save $
So, to save some of you some trouble, do NOT try to buy all the books on Amazon for K level.
After I priced it out, buying the curriculum+manipulatives from Moving Beyond the Page (+ a couple of books they have cheaper), plus shopping out used copies of their books on amazon, it would have cost me me or less the same amount of money as the full year package, printed version. So if you're torn between the two, buy the full curriculum!

Re: Moving beyond the page, 1 way NOT to save $
Thanks for the tip! I've been looking at that curriculum & trying to figure out how to save a bit of $. I think my local library has many of the books... so maybe I can get away with just buying a few of them.

Re: Moving beyond the page, 1 way NOT to save $
With 3 kids now (and who knows how many in the future), and many of the books being "textbook" like where we may want to reference them later, I think we're going to buy them all. I considered library, but our library isn't as well stocked as I would like, and I get annoyed when I can't get the book I want, NOW.

Re: Moving beyond the page, 1 way NOT to save $
I've found it's worthwhile to see if there are certain bookstores that sell used on amazon and then go directly to their site and buy direct. At Christmas, Better World Books had several I wanted on Amazon to the tune of $65. Their site had B1G1 free and free shipping. I ended up spending $36 I think. Later on they had a buy 2 save 20%, buy 3 save 30%. I bought Saxon Math 1 teacher's guide for $6 which I technically ended up getting free since that was the amount I saved by buying a 3rd book.
Also check halfprice books and abebooks. They have deals too.
