Happy Valentine's Day!

Ru is at work. E and I are eating baked chicken fajitas. It was a fun day, but I have to admit that as a teacher I don't love *special* days. Way tiring and the kids are off the wall. My two two students with the most behaviour difficulties had a very rough afternoon.

Must go eat more.

Mel I don't know a teacher that does like special days especially in the middle of the week. That messes it all up.

I know that's right. Sometimes I wish they would just have no school on "special" days, LOL.

To the dad that sent his 2nd grader in Ginger's class roses today: First I thought, jeez, will the elementary valentine over-the-top stuff EVER end? But now I see you have raised the bar very high for all the boys, she is not going to be easily won over now. Well played, Daddy-O.

Luckily tomorrow is a professional learning day, so no kids!

that is luck for you Mel. I hope it all went well for my sub today. Good thing she is a retired teacher and well aware of the issues of holidays and kids!

Re: B2B Valentines day!

A couple of my magazine subscriptions became no longer available on Nook, so I tried Eating Well and Clean Eating since they are only a dollar an issue. They look pretty good for a dollar so far. I think they are more expensive on Kindle though, probably more cost-effective to get the cookbooks compiled from the past magazines. I am just so burnt out on same old same old, KWIM?
