My 8 month old wont stay latched!
Lately my 8 month old will only stay latched until just after I let down. Then she pops off and looks around after only 4-5 sucks. My milk is going down! I really wanted to bf until she was at least 1yo. What can I do to keep her interested?

My first thought is to let her get more hungry. Sound cruel, doesn't it? : giggle: how often is she doing that? That was my dd1. Every half hour or hour she'd do that. Still nursed til 18 months though. If she's doing solids, try doing BF before solids. Let her go a few hours to make sure she's hungry. Hope you get it figured out!

Try nursing in a quiet place or when she is tired. My 7 mo dd is getting to that stage where she is easily distracted at the breast. I just let her stay there in my lap til she wants to sit up, then i know she is truly done.

Get yourself a pretty nursing necklace. I did that and DS plays with it while he nurses. It has helped him stay on longer.
