...celebrate Steak & Beej Day?

A radio station out of Vancouver brought up how Valentine's Day, for adults, focused on showering women with gifts. They thought it only fair to mark March 14th as "Steak & Beej Day" and started a bit of a movement there.

While I don't love the crassness of the title (or the associated website I just found), I like the spirit behind it & my DH & I celebrate March 14th most years with a date night, a movie that he's interested in instead of a romantic comedy, make him a special meal, etc.

Anyone else do this or heard of this?

Haha. Last year was the first time I heard of it. I thought it was comical, so I made steak and I don't remember if he got the 2nd part of the holiday or not. This year if the video game riptide ever comes out he will get that and steak. I told him this year will be the year of spoiling for him, so any opportunity to, I'll take it.

Yup. I don't think valentines day is super about me. I cooked dinner last night and we each gave each other small gifts.

Lol well dh worked til after i was in bed yesterday and will do the same on Mar 14, it's a Thur as well. That is his normal schedule. So he'll get just as much as I got.
