Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

I do, for the most part anyway, and I've been clearing out stuff we aren't using to really keep it that way.

BUT

With a newbie on the way, I am thinking about buying more diapers every. single. day. I don't really need anything for the newbie, so maybe that's why - I just want to buy some squishiness to feel like I'm getting ready for a new squishy But I have a very good, minimalist stash for the babe, and I know I just should stick with that. So, basically, I came here for some inspiration / motivation, and I know you all can give it to me

Here's what I have for the newb:
4 NB BWSS
2 xs Sandy's
24 orange edge Imagine organic prefolds
24 infant 2 x 5 x 2 Imagine organic prefolds

For my 16 mo DD:
9 Flips
24 regular 2 x 5 x 2 Imagine organic prefolds
15 flannel receiving blankets
18ish osocozy birdseye flats

For my bigger girls (who only wear cloth as a backup at night):
3 Imagine snap covers
4 Kawaii aplix covers
(they use the same flats listed above for DD)

It's simple, easy, and it works well. We have very hard water, and these items all get clean without a complex wash routine. They dry super fast in the dryer or on the line when it's nice out. I don't need anything else.

Tell me about your simple / minimal stash to motivate me to stick with mine!

OK, you got me. What's "BWSS"? Or did you mean "BSWW" ...?

Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

Yes, I have a minimal stash. I do NOT like having more than 1-2 types at a time or more than 24 diapers total of one child. That is just my personal comfort level after years of CDing. We have 10 aplix Flips and 24 organic flats. Thats it.

If we have another baby I might consider swapping the flats/covers out for 24 of one brand of OS AIOs or OS pockets instead, but I wouldn't buy more than that. I've promised DH that if we have another baby that I am putting money aside to shop AFTER he/she is born. I have a terrible, terrible problem with buying diapers when I am nesting We would not be finding out the sex anyway so it would be fun to shop afterwards.

Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

I do. i have:

45 small trifolds/preflats (10x12")
32 large trifolds/preflats (13x15")
10 OS covers
60 wipes

I use the small preflats trifolded the short way from the time the cord falls off until baby is about 10 pounds, then bifolded the long way until about 17 pounds. Then I Use the large preflats the same way, trifolded short way to about 22 pounds and then the long way to about 35 pounds.

They are cheap, easy to make if you want, easy to wash, quick to dry, pinnable if you want, and the correct amount of absorbancy for the stage of the baby. I do have fun with different covers, but mostly use Grovia. At night, I fold a small inside a large under a wool wrap. Works for both my 1-yr-old and 3-yr-old.

It's also the perfect amount to wash only twice a week, with a couple in the diaper bag and a couple left over on wash day.

20ish OS motherease fitteds, for all 3.
8 kissaluv fitteds, size small for baby
15 infant Prefolds as doublers for all 3.
8 thirsties large size covers, for all 3.
Some wool covers that I might phase out.

I like it because almost all of my options are one size and will fit any of my three. The older 2 are in night time only. I wish it were more streamlined, like 40 motherease instead of different kind.

Hee hee ...

I wish I could contribute. I have more of a streamlined, "topical" stash. I try to have 30-36 changes to begin with; with nods to rashy days and the "CD-challenged" in my life. My stash is an overpopulated, inefficient mess right now. Working on overhauling it to:

12-18 bamboo or hemp PF's (currently have 8 PF's and just offloaded 10 flats)
4-6 GV snap covers (unloading 6 Flips that don't fit well)
6-12 AIO's w/boosters (currently I have 14 SS AIO's that fit well but aren't absorbent enough)
6-12 fitteds (leaning towards kiwi pies or sloomb - again, having issues finding a good diaper for a petite heavy wetter, so the 10 I have don't work well)
3-4 woolies (I have ... two)

So ... not exactly minimalist, but not fluff-addiction, either. But I tell ya, there's nothing worse than having a crazy stash that doesn't do the job!

Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

I have:
15 BG Elementals
4 Flip covers
20 gerber prefolds
6 Thirsties fitteds
4 Blueberry coveralls

The BG Elementals are my daytime diapers for my 1 y/o. The thirsties and blueberry covers are nighttime for both 1 y/o and 2 y/o (2 y/o wears undies during the day but still wets at night). The flips and prefolds are my back-ups, and I also like using flips with disposable inserts when going places where I will be gone all day or a few days

11 SoftBums
3 Rockbums
1 Dinkledooz (similar in look to RABs)
3 FuzziBunz

I also have some wool but that is clothing since I sold my fitteds & prefolds.
