Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

I wish I could be more mainstream with my diapers. truth be told, I get bored with that though!

I have:
3 Simplex
3 Tots Bots
3 Imagine Bamboo AIOs
3 BG 4.0s stuffed with 3 Blueberry bamboo flats
3 BGEs

and then 3 Joeybunz hemp inserts.

And yes, I realize my thing with 3s. I'm a leeeettle OCD about diaper numbers.

We're working on getting to just flats and covers.

So.. When I feel the itch to buy, I just buy more covers.. You totally need 20 covers for one baby, right?!?

I'm not doing well in this area...we have:
36 small sandies fitteds
15 large sandies fitteds
15 meos

36 small organic gmd flats
36 large imse vimse unbleached organic flats
7 small organic imse vimse flats ( sadly I can't track down #8, odd numbers bug me with diapers too)
About 60 wipes
4 diaper pail liners
2 medium wetbags

About 10 pairs of longies/shorties in each size.

Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

I have about 20 Prefolds, 7 Bummis super brite covers, 6 fleece/microfiber doublers and 3 fitteds that I use at night.

I think this is the only area that I'm very minimal!

I really need to get into this section of the boards more often!

Re: Do you have a simple / minimal diaper stash?

For NB we have:
14 Fitteds
1 Cover
1 Wool Cover
2 AIO's
1 Pocket

I'm worried we aren't actually going to have enough, but I have materials to make a few more if I can get my act together and actually make them before baby gets here.

You'll definitely need at least 1 more cover with a NB (remember, they poop nearly every diaper). And since your LO will make (on average) a wet diaper every 2 hours ... expect to do laundry every day.

I try to have no fewer than 2 dozen diapers for a newborn ... even the "basic stash" mamas who'd CD'd multiple babies warned me that it's best to have 30-36 changes on hand for a newb. Once baby is older, then 18-24 will suffice (for laundering every other day).

Congrats on your coming addition!

Oh I think I *love* this idea. If I have another baby and get to buy a new stash (I'm settled on flats and Flips for my toddler and can't buy anything more for him) I might do this. I'd go with 4 of each though, that is my magic number So maybe 4 each of 4-5 kinds?

Baby is PTing. We just have some MEOS, mismatched wipes, and some proraps covers. Well and one pocket and one aio. It all fits into a basket that sit behind the side table in the den. Minimal for me.
