Diaper Swappers

We are Catholic and it is Lent which means no meat on Fridays till Easter. So DH had to work last night and he felt bad I was in bed by time he got home (4a.m. He is a restaurant manager at a very popular chain) so he got up this morning got the kids ready for school took them and then came home and cooked me breakfast...bacon and eggs

I felt SO bad!!! I told him I couldn't eat it and then he remembered no meat and then I had to tell him that because of my surgery gall bladder removal I can't do eggs for up to 6 months! (I read it on an online forum and researched it and it seems to be true, and to be honest the thought of eating the eggs makes me sick and I was an egg lover before.)
Poor guy, I need to do something to make up for it for him!

Egg Beaters saved my sanity. I haven't eaten an egg in years due to gall bladder removal and in fact still stuffer greatly if I don't take fiber daily, but I found Egg Beaters and it changed my life!

Dh had his gallbladder removed in 2011 and eats tons of eggs with no ill affects. He eats them scrambled, fried, poached, boiled. He loves eggs! Lol!

He was never to stay away from eggs.....

I had my out in 2009 and was never told to not eat eggs. Infact we own an egg farm

I think part of it for me was that for about 2 mos prior to removal I would have burps before and after an episode and they had that sulfur rotten egg taste to them, so that doesn't really help me at all!!

Had mine out in 2001 and wasn't told that or had any side effects from eating them. I would get the runs if i ate too much fat so if you're frying them in tonnes of fat i could see that.

When I did this week's grocery shopping I had completely forgotten that Lent started this week, so I had to improvise on Wed. We did breakfast for dinner. DH isn't Catholic and does not participate, so he made everything, including bacon

All I got to eat was eggs and toast...the bacon is my favorite part.
