Doctors I swear!

So I went to my Dermatologist today, and he says so I heart you have some good news. So I said "I do? Did my insurance authorize my medication?" He says "no I hear you are pregnant. Your PCP called and said you can't have this medication because you are expecting." I was like "WHAT!? That's not really possible. I had a tubal ligation 2 years ago."

So now I am awaiting a call back from my PCP to find out why he called the Dermatologist and told him something that is medically false with me. What the heck? I think I may be finding a new Dr.

Ooh... I would be so mad. I want to know what he says. It's not his job to tell other people his patients are pregnant anyway! I'd they're pregnant, they'll tell whoever they need! What the heck?!

We're finding a new dr too. For two reasons: 1) The dr we have now is moving to a new place that we're pretty sure our insurance doesn't work with, and 2) because she literally told me not to have any more babies and that I needed to fill the "void" with something else like a hobby... I was like, Seriously?

I don't like Drs...

I would totally be grabbing a pee stick. I had a tubal just over a year ago myself. Seriously. Either he lied for some crazy reason or mixed up his patients.

It has to be mixing up patients. I went to see him in December to get this medication. He hasn't done a urine test or a blood test on me in over a year. So even if by some miracle I were, he wouldn't even know. He used to be such a great Dr. now I don't know.

So he just called and said that he never talked to the Dermatologist. That it must have been the medical group that told them that. It "must be because they have all of my referrals and they got mixed up from when I was pregnant before." Which was 2 years ago.

Re: Doctors I swear!

Surprise!

DD had a WBV the other day and as we were leaving the nurse ran after us to ask if *I* was going to stick around for an x-ray for my "thumb pain". Lol, nope, pretty sure I wouldn't go see my kids' ped if my thumb hurt.

Wow that is really bizarre! I'll bet someone from your PCP's office goofed, not your dr necessarily. Hope they figure it out and call the right patient -- some expectant mother might be taking meds she isn't supposed to take ...

If the dr had been the one i called it wouldn't have bothered me, especially if i had been pg and i forgot to mention it to the dermatologist. I am ok with my dr taking extra precautions.

When i started with my dr at the clinic i am at now i signed a general consent form for him to give my medical info to other medical
Professionals who would need to know info about me. .

And I'd buy a test even if i hadn't had sex in months. Lol
