Hello! I'm new to DS - came for the FSOT but hadn't realized there was an entire community here!

I just love that there is a minimalist forum on here! That's exactly the right word - thank you for supplying that to my vocabulary! I've known for a while that my "frugal" label I'd been using wasn't quite the right word, at least not by the internet's definition of it, and have started talking more about being a good steward (which covers some of the green-looking living we do... but that's always done for spending reasons too). I'm so excited and it's just a word!!!

Alright, I'm done.

Quickly, I'm a Christian homeschooling mama to 5, hubby is in nursing school, and the Lord has taught us about living on LESS - much, much less. Can't wait to get to know you all!

HA! Thanks for the welcome! You are right - it's addicting, but our journey is almost over! The twins were my first sojourn into cloth diapering, and we are done having babies now, but it's been a fun ride! It made a huge difference for us financially during the time in our lives when we have needed it the very very most, and I'm thankful. <3

Hi Im Candice!

Im expecting our 3rd girl and she will probably be it for us. I am starting my SAHM journey after being an RN for several years. Weve been working on becoming debt free by followng Dave Ramsey and the timing for the new baby was good as we are finally in a place that would allow us to live on one income.....frugally of course

Ive been purging my house for a year too. Its slightly addicting

Thankfully, debt isn't really something we are having to deal with except on a very very small scale. We plan to do a credit check for ourselves to double check some of the little stuff, but having paid back my student loan last year and finding out this year that my massage therapy school debt has been *supernaturally cancelled* the only debt we have left is a vehicle repossession from last year. A little at a time and hopefully next year we can start BUILDING credit and not just repairing it! We'd love to buy a home.
