tooth question

Two weeks ago ODD told me her tooth was wiggly. I checked and sure enough they wiggled the tiniest bit. I told her to wiggle them all she wanted and every few days gave them a wiggle, it didn't seem like they were getting looser. Its only been 4 ish days since I looked at them. We were showing her grandpa that they wiggled and I noticed that the new tooth is already popping through behind the baby tooth. What can I do to get the baby tooth to come out faster so the new one grows in right?

I remember that happening with my molars (new tooth cutting through the gum) and it didn't cause any issues. I definitely wiggled on my teeth but did nothing special to pull them.

Re: tooth question

My older 2 have lost a bunch and EVERY single tooth has come in before the other one fell out. The dentist called it 'shark teeth' and said some kids are just like that and there is nothing to do, but usually they will move into proper position if given time. My almost 7yo had a couple that ended up coming in almost sideways and I was worried, but they are actually straightening out now that they are moving forward into place.

Yep, I had about 8 or 10 teeth that did that. I had to have my baby teeth pulled and mine are all straight now, didn't even need braces.

Re: tooth question

DS's teeth are just like that...we had to have his baby tooth pulled because it wasn't budging at all. The adult tooth was already half way in. Once the tooth was pulled it moved right into place.

His second baby tooth was barely moving and again his adult tooth was all but in. Luckily I was able to pop the baby tooth out. The adult tooth is still somewhat crocked but the dentist says that it will move into place eventually.

He just has a new knickname : sharkboy

On the bottom in the front, the permanent teeth are positioned "behind" the baby teeth. They will move forward with pressure from the tongue. No need to worry and no need to get the teeth out.
