Unconventional/Creative uses?

Have you used cloth diapers or accessories for other purposes than diapering or cleaning?

Our most creative solutions recently:
A flour sack flat as an impromptu airsickness bag
A small Planetwise wet bag as a camera-protector while canoeing

I use may wetbags for anything from diapers to electronics to beach bag, to cosmetics/toiletries. I have friend who uses a wet bag (not her diaper one) for storing breastpump parts in the fridge between pumping throughout the day.

A snappi is perfect for getting lint & hair out of hook & loop/ aplix.

I know this has been done before but prefolds work pretty great as postpardum cloth.
Flats can be used as anything, as towels obviously, even a handkerchief, if your cold is really bad. Or a bandana if you forgot your hat.

My kids like to wear longies on their heads and pretend they are bunnies, does that count?

I use old prefolds for sewing projects a lot, such as stuffing for pot holders or to add bulk or cushion to a bag.

Re: Unconventional/Creative uses?

Dry wipes instead of tissues when DD has a runny nose (so much softer)
We use the "ikea" flats for bibs (such great coverage)
Wet bags for swim class.
We also use snappis to clean lint out of velcro
Bac Out for cleaning pet messes

Re: Unconventional/Creative uses?

Wet bags for swimming, microfibre inserts on my swiffer-type sweeper, random inserts as mama cloth in a pinch, t-shirt wipes as cleaning rags...that's all can think of!
